This is an original, rolled, one-sheet movie poster from 1981 for the animated rock musical American Pop featuring the voices of Hilary Beane, Gene Borkan, Beatrice Colen, Frank DeKova, Ben Frommer, Jerry Holland, Roz Kelly, Amy Levitt, Jeffrey Lippa and Richard Moll. Ralph Bakshi, who created Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic, and the animated version of The Lord of the Rings, directed the film. The art for the poster, by Wilson Mclean and director Ralph Bakshi, features images of musicians ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Elvis.
The poster measures 27” x 41” and is in very good condition with minimal creasing from previous handling. Unlike most one sheet posters from this period, it has never been folded.
