This is an original, rolled, thirty by forty movie poster from 1969 for a theatrical re-release of Ben-Hur (1959) starring Charlton Heston, Jack Hawkins, Hugh Griffith and Haya Haraeet. William Wyler directed the classic film. Joseph Smith is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 30" x 40" and is in very good condition with some minor creasing and tiny tears along parts of the white border from previous handling. It has never been folded. Thirty by forty posters were printed on slightly thicker paper stock compared to one-sheet posters.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The small, black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1969 to promote a limited, theatrical re-release of Ben Hur, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
