This is an original, rolled, Finnish poster from the 1970s for a theatrical re-release of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The science fiction classic stars Gary Lockwood, Keir Dullea, William Sylvester, Daniel Richter, Leonard Rossiter, Robert Beatty and Douglas Rain. Stanley Kubrick directed the film. Bob McCall is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 16.25” x 24” and is in good condition with pinholes from theatrical display, edge wear and surface creasing scattered throughout the poster from previous handling. There is a tiny spot of discoloration on the right side and a couple of tiny tears along the edges. It has never been folded.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
