This is an original, French grande movie poster from 1970 for a theatrical re-release of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1958). The classic World War II film stars William Holden, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, and Sessue Hayakawa. David Lean directed the Academy Award-winning movie. Georges Kerfyser is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 47" x 63" and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal creasing near the folds and cross-folds from long-term storage. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
