Rocky (1976)

This is an original, Italian 2 Fogli movie poster from 1977 for Rocky starring Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers and Burgess Meredith. John G. Avildsen directed the Academy Award-winning boxing film.

The movie was released in the United States in December 1976 and received 10 Oscar nominations. These nominations are noted on the poster. The film was released in Italy on March 25, 1977 (just three days before Rocky won Best Picture at the 49th annual Academy Awards).

The poster measures 39” x 55” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in very good to excellent condition prior to linen-backing with minimal edge and fold wear. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
