This is an original, linen-backed, French theatrical movie poster from 1961 for the initial release of The Magnificent Seven starring Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, and Horst Buchholz. John Sturges directed the classic western. Boris Grinsson is the artist for the poster.
The insert-style poster measures 15.5" x 31.25" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in very good condition prior to backing with single pinholes in each corner from theatrical display, a small, diagonal crease in the bottom-left corner and minor edge and fold wear. The poster was linen-backed in the European style without restoration. The poster has been stored flat and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
