Star Wars (1977)

This is an original, rolled, printer's proof, Style C one-sheet movie poster from 1977 for Star Wars starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, James Earl Jones, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.  George Lucas directed the classic, science fiction film.  Tom William Chantrell is the artist for the poster.

The poster was sourced directly from a former employee of Gore Graphics which printed these one-sheets back in 1977.  Printer's proofs are test posters that are printed in very small numbers to gain final apprival before being printed in large qualities.  These posters are highly desirable for collectors as there is no risk of it being a reproduction.  This poster was also stored away from air and light for over 45 years. It measures 28" x 41" and is in excellent, unused condition.  The poster has never been folded.
