This is an original, linen-backed, Argentinian theatrical movie poster from 1940 for the first theatrical release of Gone with the Wind starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Olivia de Havilland, Leslie Howard, Hattie McDaniel, and Thomas Mitchell. Victor Fleming directed the classic Civil War drama.
The poster measures 29.5” x 43” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to restoration, the poster was in very good condition with fold wear with a few small separations and surface tears from previous handling. The poster was folded at the time of printing. The folds are less noticeable after restoration. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
