This is an original, French eight panel, teaser movie poster from 1974 for The Towering Inferno starring Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, William Holden, Faye Dunaway and Fred Astaire. John Guillermin directed the high-rise disaster thriller.
The billboard-style poster measures 118” x 157.5” (approximately 10 feet by 13 feet) and was printed in eight sections designed to overlap. The poster in very good to excellent condition with a few, faint smudges from previous handling. It was folded at the time of printing and there are some creases and tiny separations at a few of the cross-folds from long-term, folded storage. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
