This is an original movie poster from 1928 for the Argentinian theatrical release of Verdun, Visions d'Histoire starring Albert Prejean, Jeanne Marie-Laurent, Suzanne Bianchetti, Hans Brausewetter, and Thomy Bourdelle. Leon Poirier directed the French, silent World War I film about the battle of Verdun. The film was released with the title "300 Dias en el Infierno" which translates as "300 Days in Hell."
The poster measures 14” x 29” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing with some areas of fold wear and age-related discoloration around the edges. The poster has been linen-backed in the European style without touch-ups or restoration.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1928 to promote the theatrical release of Verdun, Visions d'Histoire, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
