This is an original, Italian 2 fogli movie poster from 1969 for a theatrical re-release of The Longest Day starring John Wayne, Richard Burton, Red Buttons, Sean Connery, Fabian, Mel Ferrer, Henry Fonda, Roddy McDowall, Robert Mitchum, George Segal and Rod Steiger. Ken Annakin and Andrew Marton directed the classic World War II film. The movie was initially released in 1962 and was theatrically re-released in 1969 for the 25th anniversary of D-Day (as noted on the poster).
The horizontal poster measures 39" x 55" and is in very good condition with creasing and tiny tears on the lower-left edge. It poster was folded at the time of printing and there's a small tear with paper loss on the upper-left cross-fold. There are light creases and wear along other folds/cross-folds from long-term storage. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black squares in the corners and edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1969 to promote a, Italian theatrical re-release of The Longest Day, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
