This is an original, French grande movie poster from the 1970s for a theatrical re-release of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. The classic Cold War comedy stars Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, Slim Pickens and Sterling Hayden. The film was directed by Stanley Kubrick. Tomi Ungerer is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 45.5" x 61" and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal edge wear from previous handling. It was folded at the time of printing and has light creasing on some of the cross-folds from long-term storage.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in the 1970s to promote a French theatrical re-release of Dr. Strangelove, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
