This is an original, insert theatrical movie poster from 1968 for 2001: A Space Odyssey. The science fiction classic stars Gary Lockwood, Keir Dullea, William Sylvester, Daniel Richter, Leonard Rossiter, Robert Beatty and Douglas Rain. Stanley Kubrick directed the film. Bob McCall is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 14" x 36" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in good to very good condition prior to restoration with light creasing and few, small tears on the edges. It was folded at the time of printing and had creasing along the folds. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer. The folds are less noticeable after restoration.
