    Pearl of Death (1944)

    • This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1944 for The Pearl of Death starring Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, Evelyn Ankers, Dennis Hoey, Miles Mander, Mary Gordon, and Rondo Hatton.  Roy William Neill directed the classic Sherlock Holmes mystery thriller.

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to restoration, the poster was in good to very good condition with pinholes in the corners and sides from theatrical display and a small tear with paper loss on the lower-left white edge (not impacting the main image).  It was folded at the time of printing and had small separations/tears at the cross-folds and some tiny tears along the fold lines from long-term storage.  The fold lines are much less prominent after restoration.  The poster is in excellent condition after backing and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying).  It is not cropped or a stock image. The black quares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.

This rare and very collectible poster, printed in 1944 to promote the theatrical release of The Pearl of Death, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
