    Woodstock (1970)

    • This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1970 for the documentary Woodstock featuring performances by Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez, Joe Cocker, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Richie Havens, Santana, The Who, Country Joe & the Fish, Arlo Guthrie and Sly & the Family Stone. Michael Wadleigh directed the film and Arnold Skolnick created the iconic poster art.

The poster measures 27” x 41” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to linen-backing the poster was in good condition with areas of edge and fold wear. The poster had some surface paper loss at the top edge. The poster was backed in the European style without restoration to previous defects. It was folded at the time of printing but the folds are much less noticeable after linen-backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not a stock image.

This rare and collectible movie poster, printed in 1970 to promote the initial, theatrical release of Woodstock, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
