Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)

Original Film Art Shipping

1 available
  • This is an original French theatrical movie poster from 1968 for the initial release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo) starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach, Aldo Giuffre and Mario Brega. Sergio Leone directed the classic western.

This poster is from the very first release of the film in France.  There was a theatrical re-release in the 1970s that used the same poster (which is more commonly available and often mistaken for the original release).  The difference between the original and re-release posters may be found in the printer information in the lower-left edge of the poster.  The 1970s release has printer information vertically down the lower-left edge of the poster.  The original poster, sold here, has the printer information at the bottom edge just to the left of the black and white photo.

The moyenne (medium size) poster measures 23" x 30.75" and is in very good condition with staple holes around the edges from theatrical display.   It was folded twice at the time of printing (with a horizontal fold line at the middle and near the top of the poster)  but has been stored flat for may years.  The poster will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.

This collectible poster, printed in 1968 to promote the initial, French theatrical release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
