This is an original, German two-panel theatrical movie poster from 1976 for King Kong starring Jeff Bridges, Charles Grodin, Jessica Lange, John Randolph, and Rene Auberjonois. John Guillermin directed the remake of the classic 1933 film. John Berkey is the artist for the poster.
The art for this poster is similar to the John Berkey art for the American one-sheet movie poster. In that poster, the ape is holding a smaller plane and there are helicopters, and not jets, flying behind Kong.
The poster measures 47” x 66” and was printed in two sections designed to overlap. It is in very good to excellent condition with minimal fold wear. The poster was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you will receive). The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
