King Kong (1933) / The Great Chase (1962)

Please notify me when this poster is available:

    • This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1970 for a double-billed, theatrical re-release of a restored version of King Kong (1933) and The Great Chase (1962).  King Kong stars Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong, Bruce Cabot, Frank Reicher, and Sam Hardy. The Great Chase is a movie chase documentary featuring Buster Keaton, Douglas Fairbanks Sr., William S. Hart, and Lillian Gish.   Lee J. Reedy is the artist for the poster.  This poster is frequently listed incorrectly as being from 1968 but the actual re-release was in 1970.

The poster measures 27” x 41” and is in very good condition with a few spots minor edge wear from previous handling. It was folded at the time of printing and there are a few areas of very light discoloration near the edges of some fold lines. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.

Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.

This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1970 to promote a double-feature release of King Kong and The Great Chase, is not a reprint or a reproduction.
