On the Loose (1951)
Film: On the Loose (1951) Year poster printed: 1951 Country: United States Size: 27 in x 41 in (69 cm x 104 cm) (plus linen border)
"School-girl by day... Thrill-seeker by night!"
This is an original one-sheet movie poster from 1951 for On the Loose starring Joan Evans, Melvyn Douglas, Lynn Bari, Robert Arthur, and Ida Lupino. Charles Lederer directed the teen "juvenile delinquent" drama.
The poster measures 27"x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in good to very good condition prior to linen-backing with minor to moderate fold and surface wear. It was folded after printing and had an extra horizontal fold at the top of the poster and an extra vertical fold down the middle. The folds are much less noticeable after linen-backing however traces of the fold-lines are still slightly visible. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The small, black circles in the corners are magnets and not pins.
This very rare and extremely collectible movie poster, printed in 1951 to promote the initial theatrical release of On the Loose, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
